Privacy Policy

ImmiReady, a TaTech product operated by TaTech LLC. Last updated: October 21, 2026.

ImmiReady ("we", "us", "our") is a mobile and web application operated by TaTech LLC, a Maryland limited liability company. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. We wrote it in plain language because your information is sensitive and you deserve to understand it.

ImmiReady is not a law firm. It provides legal information and self-help tools, not legal advice, and using it does not create an attorney-client relationship. For advice about your specific situation, talk to a licensed attorney.

1. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to provide the service:

USCIS receipt numbers

We collect receipt numbers and treat them as personally identifiable information (PII). A USCIS receipt number (three letters followed by ten digits, for example IOE0000000000) identifies a specific immigration filing and the person who filed it. We collect a receipt number only when you, or a legal professional you have connected to your case, enter it: on a case, in a one-time case status check, in a document worksheet you ask us to prepare, or by confirming the receipt number read from a USCIS notice you choose to submit. Everywhere in ImmiReady, receipt numbers receive the protections described in this section.

How we use receipt numbers to query case status. To check a case status, our server sends the receipt number, and nothing else about you, to the official USCIS Case Status service over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, authenticated with credentials USCIS issued to ImmiReady. USCIS returns the current status for that filing, which we show to you. When a receipt number is saved to a case, our system may also check its status automatically on a schedule until the case is marked approved, denied, or closed, so we can tell you when the status changes. A one-time status check that is not saved to a case is not stored with your account; to prevent misuse of the USCIS service, we keep only a one-way keyed code derived from the number, for 31 days, to enforce a daily limit on how many different receipt numbers one account can check. We use receipt numbers only to provide case status and to prepare the case documents you request. We never sell them, use them for advertising, or use them to build profiles.

How receipt numbers are stored. Receipt numbers you save, and the status history USCIS returns for them, are stored in ImmiReady's application database with the case they belong to. The database is hosted by our database provider (Supabase) and is encrypted at rest by that provider; all connections to it are encrypted in transit.

How receipt numbers are safeguarded and protected from unauthorized access or disclosure.

Optional signature location: if you turn on the location-stamp option while signing and grant device permission, ImmiReady collects the latitude, longitude, accuracy estimate, capture time, device platform, locale, and time zone reported by your device. We attach that information to that signature for audit context. Location is optional, is not collected in the background, is not used for advertising or analytics, and refusing it does not prevent signing. Authorized parties who can view the signed agreement or document may see the location stamp. We otherwise do not request precise geolocation, and we do not access your phone contacts.

What ImmiReady stores on your device

ImmiReady does not use advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies, and does not set cookies of its own. To work, the app keeps a small amount of information on your phone or in your browser's local storage:

If a law firm's public intake form requires a security check, Cloudflare Turnstile runs in your browser to tell people apart from automated abuse; Cloudflare handles that check under its own privacy policy. You can remove what ImmiReady stores on your device by signing out and clearing this site's data in your browser settings, or by uninstalling the phone app.

2. How we use your information

3. Who we share information with

We disclose information only as needed to operate the features you choose. The providers below process information under their applicable agreements and privacy terms. Review those terms for provider-specific retention, logging, backup, and deletion practices. They include:

Government service: when you check a case status, or a receipt number is saved to a case for automatic status updates, we send that receipt number to the official U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Case Status service, as described in USCIS receipt numbers. USCIS is a government agency, not our vendor, and its systems are governed by its own notices and rules. ImmiReady is privately operated and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by USCIS or any other government agency.

If you approve a case connection with an attorney through the app, the connected case information is available to that attorney while the connection remains active. Contact us if you need help ending a connection.

We do not sell your information. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information for money or other value, to anyone, for any purpose. We do not share it for advertising.

4. Your choices and the risks of sharing

You decide what to put into ImmiReady and whether to approve a case connection with an attorney. A connected attorney can see information associated with that case. Some information, such as family or country-conditions details, may also relate to other people; please consider that before adding it. You can request account deletion at any time and contact us for help with a case connection.

5. Other disclosures

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to operate the service, comply with law or valid legal process, investigate abuse, protect users or the service, or complete a business transfer described below. We do not authorize a recipient to use disclosed information for an unrelated purpose. We will update this policy when our material data practices change and follow the notice and active-consent process described below.

6. Security and data breaches

We use safeguards designed to protect your information, including encrypted network connections, provider storage protections, access controls, tenant-level database policies, and security logging. No system is perfectly secure. If a security incident affects your information, we will notify affected users without unreasonable delay, as required by applicable law, explain what happened and what information was involved, and give practical instructions for protecting themselves.

7. How long we keep your data

We generally keep account and case information while your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and protect the service. When you request account deletion, the schedule below applies to data controlled by ImmiReady.

Dormant accounts: if an account has no sign-in or other user activity for 24 months, we will send advance notice to the account email before treating it as dormant. Unless you sign in or ask us to keep it, we will begin the same deletion process described below. We may keep limited records only where law, security, fraud prevention, or recordkeeping obligations require it.

Private document scans are not retained in ImmiReady case storage: the original is held in app memory long enough to send and process the request, is not added to your case, and disappears from the app when the scan flow ends. Network and processing providers may log or retain submitted data under their own configured service terms; ImmiReady does not promise immediate deletion from provider systems.

Signature records: signature audit records, including an optional location stamp, are retained with the signed document or agreement while the associated account, matter, or legally required record is retained. They are subject to the deletion process and limited legal, security, fraud-prevention, and recordkeeping exceptions described here.

8. Deleting your data

You can permanently delete your account and all of your data at any time, directly in the app: open Settings → Delete my account. You do not need to email anyone or ask permission.

Service providers may keep residual copies in logs or backups under their own retention and recovery practices. ImmiReady cannot promise a particular backup-rotation date. Contact us for the current provider information relevant to a deletion request.

9. If our business changes hands

If ownership or control of ImmiReady changes, information may transfer as part of that transaction where permitted by law. We will provide notice when applicable law requires it. The in-app account-deletion option remains the currently supported self-service control; ImmiReady does not currently provide a complete account-portability export.

10. Closing your account

You can close your account at any time using Settings → Delete my account, which both closes the account and deletes your data as described above.

11. Changes to this policy

We will post the updated policy here and revise the date above. The app records acceptance of the current published Terms and Privacy Policy versions and may require signed-in users to review and accept new versions before continuing. A user who does not accept may sign out or use the supported account-deletion process. We do not promise that an earlier policy version will continue to govern previously collected information.

12. Your California privacy rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access it, to ask us to delete it, and to not be discriminated against for using these rights. We do not sell your personal information. To use these rights, use the in-app deletion tool or contact us below.

13. Children

ImmiReady is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
